Group family daycare

Group family daycare is a form of early childhood education, where two family daycare instructors work together in City of Helsinki's facilities.

A group consists of a maximum of eight under school aged children. Also two children in pre-primary education or basic education can join the group for part-time care.

Group family daycare locations are usually open for nine hours a day. Ask for the more detailed opening hours from the family daycare coordinator of your own area.

Supervisor of a group family daycare instructor is the family daycare coordinator of the area. The coordinator will provide more information on family daycare and care placements. Find your local family daycare coordinator's contact details on the family daycare areas page.
