Open geographic data

Open data is information or data accumulated by the public or private sector which has been made available for free for anyone to use.  

Most of the City of Helsinki maps and geographical information databases have been made available for open use. 

Different maps provided by the City of Helsinki can be examined at the kartta.hel.fi, the Helsinki map service.

Open data and maps provided by City Survey Division can be found at the following address: https://kartta.hel.fi/avoindata/ (in Finnish).
