Helsinki Upper Secondary School of Languages offers three study programmes to choose from: an English and Finnish study programme, a programme emphasising languages and internationality and a general programme.
Each year approximately 60 students enrol in the English and Finnish programme, 35 in the emphasis programme and 155 in the general programme.
English and Finnish Study Programme
An English and Finnish study programme began at Helsinki Upper Secondary School of Languages in August 2020. Thirty students were chosen for the programme based on joint application and aptitude test. The lowest accepted score was 10,87. The students in the programme will take the Matriculation Exams in Finnish. At least half of the courses in the curriculum will be in English.
Summer 2021, 60 students will be chosen for the programme based on joint application and aptitude test. The aptitude test will take place remotely from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2021.
Helsinki Upper Secondary School of Languages will be relocated to a new a building in Myllypuro at Kiviparintie 1. The new building will replace the current one at Kajaaninlinnantie 10. The constructions will commence in 2021 and the students will start studying in the new location in autumn 2023.
