Grants for Culture

Helsinki awards approximately 17 million euros a year in grants to art and culture. Arts and culture grants are available for operational grants and as project grants. Development grants may be applied for projects intended to last for 1–3 years. In addition, the City awards grants to educational institutions that provide basic arts education and organises separate grant calls occasionally.

When applying for grants, please read the criteria and application instructions carefully. Applications are submitted via the City of Helsinki’s E-services.

The grants for culture, their conditions, and their assessment criteria have been updated. The change will come into effect on 1 June 2022. Read more
