The Tulipysäkki, i.e. ‘Fire Stop’, operations address unauthorised handling of fire by children and young people under 15. The operations are organised by the Helsinki City Rescue Department in cooperation with other city authorities.

The work with children consists of events organised at schools for groups of students, as well as intervention discussions for children who have been caught handling fire without permission and their families.

The operations aim to prevent setting fires on purpose, and to help the children understand the consequences of such actions. The immediate intervention method also aims to prevent other accidents and the threat of social  marginalisation.

If you are interested in the Tulipysäkki trainings, please fill in the training request form.
Information about a child or young person setting fires can be reported through the e-services.
