Kumpula Botanic Garden
The Helsinki University has two botanic gardens. The older one is situated in Kaisaniemi park next to the city centre. The Kumpula Botanic Garden was founded in 1980’s in the former 19th century park surrounding the main building of the old Kumpula manor. The Kumpula Garden collection comprises two parts: a garden of cultivated plants and a geobotanical garden with sections from Europe, Eastern and Western North America, the Far East and Japan. The garden is open in the summer till 29.9., Tue-Sun 11-18, address Jyrängöntie 2.
