Preparedness refers to activities aimed at securing vital basic services and the safety of residents under emergency conditions.

The City’s preparedness and continuity management refers to preparedness for such risks threatening the entire city that may have a very small probability of being realized but, if realized, would have major consequences. The realization of such risks cannot be affected by the City with its own measures.

Preparedness for such risks is part of advance operational and resource planning. This is aimed at securing the provision of services and limiting the damage caused by the situation. The goal is to secure the organization’s operational capability in all conditions.
