Helsinki schools on Christmas holiday from 23 December to 7 January

Christmas break in municipal comprehensive schools and general upper secondary schools starts on Thursday 23 December. Pupils and students go back to school on Monday 10 January 2022. The students of Stadin AO, Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute students have a Christmas break on the week commencing 27 December.

If any changes to schoolwork or studies occur due to the coronavirus, guardians will be informed via Wilma.

Service Guidance for Early Childhood Education helps you with applying to daycare. During the Christmas holidays the telephone service on +358 9 310 80488 is open 27–28 December and 3–5 January at 9:00 am-15:00. You can also get in touch by email at varepalveluohjaus@hel.fi. From now on, the Service Guidance Unit processes all of the applications and makes the decisions regarding children’s’ daycare placements in Helsinki.
