Pupils and students on Christmas holiday from 23 December to 6 January

Christmas break in municipal comprehensive schools and general upper secondary schools starts on Wednesday 23 December. Pupils and students go back to school on Thursday 7 January 2021, after the Epiphany. The majority of Stadin AO, Helsinki Vocational College and Adult Institute students have a Christmas break on the week commencing 21 December.

If any changes to the spring term 2021 start dates occur due to the coronavirus, guardians will be informed via Wilma.

General upper secondary school student go back to school on 7 January 2021. All general upper secondary schools and Stadin AO will remain in distance learning until 10 January.

Customer service between Christmas and New Year

Due to the coronavirus situation, the Education Division’s customer service is available only by phone on 09 310 44986 or via the feedback form. Education Division's customer service is closed for the Christmas week on 21–27 December.

The schools’ telephone customer service is closed on 23 December–3 January. The customer service in Finnish is available on 09 310 10025, and in Swedish on 09 310 10027.

Eduguidance customer service for international families

Eduguidance telephone customer service for international families is open on Monday 21 December from 2pm to 5pm, and on Wednesday 23 December from 9am to 11am and from 2pm to 5pm.
