Anniina Kitula elected as new president of Talpa

The City Board has decided to appoint Anniina Kitula as the new President of the Financial Management Services public enterprise (Talpa).

The City Board has decided to appoint Anniina Kitula as the new President of the Financial Management Services public enterprise (Talpa). Kitula holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Social Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She will start work on 1 November.

Anniina Kitula has been the Managing Director of HPK Palvelut Oy since March 2022, and she managed the incorporation of the City of Porvoo’s Administrative Services Centre. She started as the Head of the City of Porvoo’s Administrative Services Centre in December 2020. The Administrative Services Centre comprised financial and HR services, basic ICT services and translation services.

Previously, Anniina Kitula has held several management positions at Sarastia Oy, being responsible for payroll services in Southern Finland, corporate marketing and communications, Uusimaa’s customer relationships and the service production of financial and payroll administration in Uusimaa. Prior to this, she has worked at Validia and Ramboll Management Consulting Oy, among others.

The president manages the activities of the Financial Management Services public enterprise under the authority of the Board of Directors. She will also act as a rapporteur at the meetings of the Board of Directors.

The Financial Management Services public enterprise currently employs approximately 450 financial administration and payroll professionals.

Administrative Director Päivi Turpeinen has been acting as Vice President since Talpa’s previous president left to work for another employer in March 2022.

The presidents of all public enterprises of the City of Helsinki are appointed for a fixed term of seven years.
