The launch involves the majority of the social and health care services in Helsinki. The Apotti system is now being used for the following services: health stations, oral health care, psychiatric and substance abuse services, home care, hospitals, senior centres and service houses, maternity and child health clinics, the outpatient clinic for the intellectually disabled, school and student health care, speech therapy for children and health care for the unemployed.

The services for the disabled will start using Apotti 29 May. In child welfare and in social services for people of working age and families with children, including supplementary and preventative social assistance, Apotti is taken into use in November this year.

Employees make a change

Guaranteeing client and patient safety is a priority when it comes to launching new systems. The employees have been trained to use the Apotti system.

“To make the transition to Apotti as smooth as possible, we have trained our staff for months to use it. Some of our employees act as support staff for their teams in the use of Apotti”, says Leena Turpeinen, Director of Health and Substance Abuse Services.

“Our staff have enabled the positive change that Apotti is bringing. We want to already at this point thank our staff for a great job during the launch of Apotti”, Turpeinen continues.

About 12 000 employees at Helsinki city will now start using Apotti.

Clients are now using Maisa

As a part of the launch of Apotti the electronic services were moved to the Maisa service.

“With Maisa it’s faster and easier to use the e-services”, Leena Turpeinen continues.

Maisa can be used online at www.maisa.fi(Link leads to external service) or on a mobile by downloading the free Maisa app from the app store. The login to Maisa works with either bank codes, electronic identity card or mobile certificate.

Besides Helsinki Apotti was also taken into use at the social services and health care in Kauniainen and Kerava and in some parts of HUS. Read more from Apotti Oy’s news article (in Finnish)(Link leads to external service). The launch is the biggest so far.
