The fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is now offered to all 18–69-year-olds who belong to risk groups 1 and 2. You must book an appointment to get vaccinated. The fourth dose of the vaccine can be administered when at least three months have passed since receiving the third dose.

“Underlying conditions suffered by those belonging to risk groups can increase the risk of developing dangerous COVID-19 symptoms. We are making the vaccine available for all persons aged 18 and above who belong to risk groups in the hopes that as many Helsinki residents as possible avoid suffering a severe form of corona. Due to the summer holiday season, we are administering vaccinations for new target groups gradually and by appointment only. Vaccinations are given as quickly as possible,” says Timo Lukkarinen, the Medical Director of health stations.
To get vaccinated, you will need to prove your identity, for example, with an identity card or Kela card. We advise you also to be prepared to give proof of belonging to a risk group by, for example, showing a copy of your medical record.
The fourth dose of the corona vaccine is Pfizer’s mRNA vaccine. For more information on the vaccine, visit the Finnish institute for health and welfare THL’s website(Link leads to external service). Vaccination is voluntary and free of charge.
We do not administer fourth doses of the vaccine to persons who have received three doses and, in addition, recovered from a coronavirus infection. You are considered up-to-date at this time.
To avoid queues at the vaccination points, please do not arrive at the site long before your booked appointment – thank you!
