Persons who were present at the Swimming Stadium on 24 June, 27–29 June, 1 July and 4–6 July have been later found to be infected with the coronavirus. Others who were present at the aforementioned times may also have been exposed to the coronavirus. As such, they are urged to monitor their condition closely for 14 days until 20 July 2021,
Get tested immediately upon the onset of even the slightest symptoms and remain home to wait for the results. The affected persons are recommended to avoid close contact especially with seniors and members of risk groups until receiving a negative test result and recovering from any symptoms. Symptoms of a coronavirus infection include intermittently elevated body temperature, fever, cough, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, flu, difficulty breathing, loss of the sense of smell or taste, nausea, diarrhoea and abnormal fatigue.
Adults and young people over 15 can also book an appointment for a coronavirus test by completing the online coronavirus symptoms check-up at www.omaolo.fi(Link leads to external service). Adults may also book an appointment on the behalf of a dependant under the age of 15. Identification in the appointment booking service can be carried out using online banking codes, for example.
Helsinki residents and guardians of minors residing in Helsinki can also book an appointment for a coronavirus test by calling the Coronavirus Helpline, tel. 09 310 10024 (daily at 8–18). If the Coronavirus Helpline is closed and you have mild symptoms indicative of a coronavirus infection, please wait until the following day.
Residents of other Uusimaa municipalities can fill out the symptom assessment form and book an appointment online at https://koronabotti.hus.fi/en/(Link leads to external service) Residents of municipalities outside the Uusimaa region must contact their local health care services for testing.
The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare recommends that everyone over the age of 15 use a face mask whenever close contacts cannot be avoided.
