Changes to the Helsinki Transport Service's copayments in year 2025

In addition to the trips charged to a payment card, Helsinki Transport Service trips are subject to a copayment. This is a customer fee based on the pricing of public transport in Helsinki. The prices of public transport tickets in the Helsinki region will rise on 1 January 2025. Therefore, the Transport Service’s copayment will also increase at the beginning of the year.

Copayment for commuting to work and studies

The City of Helsinki sends Transport Service customers an invoice for the copayment of completed errand trips and work and study commutes once a month.

The Helsinki Transport Service is intended as a substitute for public transport for older Helsinki residents or those with disabilities. You can use the service to run errands and for work or school commutes if you have a transport service decision.
