If you are in working life, Helsinki Employment Services’ advisory service can help you with matters such as those related to employment agreements, salary payments and terms of employment.

The advisory service will provide you with valuable information about employee rights and obligations. The service also proactively prevents labour exploitation and problems at workplaces. You can contact the advisory service if you suspect that you have been mistreated in your employment relationship.

If you are not in working life, the advisory service can help you with matters such as those related to education and training, starting a business and job seeking.

Helsinki Employment Services’ advisory service is available in several languages

Helsinki Employment Services’ Itäkeskus office has been providing advice for working life in different languages since the autumn of 2022. The advisory service is provided in Finnish, English, Arabic, Dari, Kurdish, Persian, Russian and Ukrainian. The service is available on every other Wednesday at 13.00–16.00.

You can come to the office without an appointment to utilise Helsinki Employment Services’ advisory service in person. The multi-language advisory service is provided as part of the ‘Fair Working Life’ (Reilu työelämä) project of the Finnish Refugee Council (Suomen Pakolaisapu ry).

At other times, Helsinki Employment Services’ advisory service is available in Finnish, Swedish and English. If needed, we can serve clients at personal appointments via an interpreter in a wide variety of languages.
