Getting a whooping cough vaccination during pregnancy helps protect the baby’s health. Whooping cough can be life-threatening to newborn babies.

Vaccination is available at the maternity clinic and is usually offered at between 16 and 32 weeks of pregnancy. If you miss out, you can still get the vaccine later in pregnancy.

Vaccination is available during a regular maternity clinic visit, so there is no need to book a separate vaccination appointment.

The Sotebotti Hester chatbot is available to answer questions about vaccination. If needed, it can connect you with a healthcare professional via the chat.
