On the first Sunday in November, the traditional raking event will take place in Kaivopuisto, where all residents are welcome to come and rake leaves. The volunteers will gather from 11 a.m. near Kaivohuone square, which will be the starting point of the event.
Volunteers will receive on-site guidance and instructions. The city will provide the tools but you should bring your own gloves. There will be snacks and hot drinks for the first 150 volunteers.
In store are the joy of raking and the spirit of working together. The communal raking of Kaivopuisto is a decades-old tradition in the city of Helsinki. The event is organised cooperatively between the Urban Environment Division and Stara.
