Paediatric special clinics open in Helsinki

Paediatric special clinics, a new unit focusing on children’s psychiatric and neurological activities, has been opened in Pasila at Ratapihantie 11.

Paediatric special clinics, a new unit focusing on children’s psychiatric and neurological ac-tivities, has been opened in Pasila at Ratapihantie 11.

The unit offers research, treatment and rehabilitation in moderate children’s psychiatric and developmental disorders for residents of Helsinki under the age of 13 in cooperation with family centres. The unit also offers consultation for other City of Helsinki professionals working with children.

The paediatric special clinics unit helps children with challenges related to anxiety, depression, phobias and compulsive symptoms. The unit offers treatment and support with issues concerning behavioural regulation, post-traumatic symptoms and mild or moderate developmental challenges as well as specific learning disorders.

Paediatric special clinics performs paediatric consultations for family counselling offices in the City of Helsinki.

Patients of the paediatric special clinics are received based on referrals.
