Residents can access essential health and social services even on Independence Day.

Health stations

Health stations will be open on 5 December from 8.00–16.00 (call-back service available from 8.00–15.00) but closed on Independence Day, 6 December.

If you need urgent care, please complete a symptom assessment first at omaolo.fi. Omaolo provides health advice 24/7 and, if necessary, puts you in contact with a health care professional

you can contact the Medical Helpline, tel. 116117 (24/7). Please call before seeking treatment at the emergency department.

When local health stations are closed, residents of Helsinki with severe conditions requiring urgent care may also visit the Jorvi Hospital Emergency Department in Espoo, Turuntie 150 or to the Peijas Hospital Emergency Department in Vantaa, Sairaalakatu 1.

Emergency dental care

On 6 December, emergency dental care is available at Park Hospital, Stenbäckinkatu 9, door C. Appointments can be made between 8.00–21.00 at +358 9 471 71110. Night-time dental emergencies are handled at Meilahti Emergency Department, Paciuksenkatu 3, tel. 116 117.
