The event will include discussions on, among other things, housing construction, schools and kindergartens, parks, as well as plans for a new multi-purpose house. The city's decision-makers and experts will be present to share current issues and plans in the area.

The event will be opened by Anni Sinnemäki, Deputy Mayor for Urban Environment.

In connection with the event, an information session will be organised, where the organisations and associations in the area, as well as representatives of the city's services, will present their activities and answer questions from residents.

– A great deal of things will be happening in Meri-Rastila in the coming years. Therefore, it is a good idea to come on-site to discuss with the city's experts and various organisations in the area. From the organisation side, their activities are presented by sports and cultural organisations, among others, says the region's Borough Liaison Johannes Jauhiainen.

Interpreting assistance is available in Arabic, Somali and Russian.

Students of the Merilahti Comprehensive School’s 4B class will sell coffee and pastries at the event.
The event is free of charge. Join us to hear and discuss topics.
