Visitors are again allowed at Helsinki hospitals

The indoor visit restriction at Helsinki hospitals has ended and you can again visit the hospitals.

The indoor visit restriction at Helsinki hospitals has ended and you can again visit the hospitals.

You must agree with the hospital staff about all the visits to the Helsinki hospitals at least one day before the visit.

A patient can have a maximum of two visitors at a time and there can be a maximum of two visits per day. One visit can last up to 30 minutes. The indoor visits are organised in the patient rooms.

Outdoor visits are also possible and the number or length of them is not restricted.

You may not visit a hospital if you have even minor symptoms indicative of a coronavirus infection. People who have been exposed to coronavirus are recommended to avoid contact for five days with everyone except those living in the same household. This recommendation also applies on hospital visits.

The visiting restrictions that are now lifted were in effect from 6 January. The restrictions were established due to the more severe corona situation.
