The renovation will update the water treatment equipment, ventilation, insulation and acoustics, among other things. Although there are no plans for major changes to the layout, there is still room for improvement in spaces such as the pool areas, changing rooms and saunas. Interviews in the spring showed that the changing room, shower, and sauna facilities in particular need improvements. Customer experiences highlighted the importance of common rules and respect for others. People use the services of the Itäkeskus Swimming Hall for various reasons, such as to improve their fitness, relax, learn, pursue hobbies, and enjoy time with family or friends. When developing the customer experience, it is thus important to create conditions and opportunities for a wide range of visitors to enjoy physical activities.
