We award high-quality theses with a Helsinki theme every year. Higher education institutions may recommend their students for the award. Recommendations are accepted until 16 October.
We grant thesis awards each year to the authors of exemplary academic theses that explore Helsinki-related themes. The annual award pool is EUR 4,000 in total, which is divided among the authors of 4–10 theses.
The award can be granted to authors of relevant theses completed towards a master’s degree or equivalent during the 2023–2024 academic year (1 August 2023–31 July 2024). There are no restrictions regarding the subject or field of study. We aim to grant awards for thesis work in various fields.
Higher education institutions may recommend the work of their students for the award. The awards will be issued in December.
