Due to the COVID-19 situation, the Urban Environment Division’s customer service at Työpajankatu 8 is only open by appointment until 31
January. During this time, customers are mainly served online and by phone.

Remote services are used to ensure the continuity of operations and the health and safety of staff and customers, as the number of people infected by and exposed to COVID-19 has increased. The decision is in line with the guidelines of the Metropolitan Area coronavirus coordination group.

The Urban Environment Division serves customers by phone on 09 310 22111 (Mon–Thu 8:15–16:00 and Fri 12:00–15:00).

Housing applicants can call 09 310 13030 (Mon–Tue 12:30–15:30, Wed–Thu 9:00–12:00, Fri 12:00–14:00).

In rental housing matters (such as picking up or returning keys), please call 09 310 32294 (Mon–Tue 8:15–12:00, Wed–Fri 12:00–15:00). 

Face-to-face service available by appointment

If you need to visit the customer service point, you can call the customer service number to request an appointment.

The information point for rental housing applicants (Työpajankatu 8) is also open by appointment. You can make an appointment by phone. Only a limited number of appointments are available.

In rental housing matters, please make an appointment primarily by phone. In urgent matters, we also serve without an appointment.

Supervising veterinarians will continue animal export inspections according to appointments booked.

Telephone services are available in matters relating to, for example, parking, resident and business parking permits, city-owned company housing, rental housing, supported housing, housing showroom, building control, planning, land surveying and maps, cable location services and rental of public areas. 

Many of these services are also available online. For example, you can renew your resident parking permit in the electronic service. You can also apply for city-owned rental housing online, and many services relating to construction are also available as remote electronic services.
