Employment Services will plan and implement labour market training together with the educational institution organising the training. Employers may also participate in the organisation of labour market training.
Labour market training may be
- training to increase professional competence and readiness
- training to increase entrepreneurial preparedness
- integration training.
Labour market training is free of charge for you. However, card and permit training can be subject to a fee.
During your labour market training, you are entitled to the same unemployment benefit as during unemployment. It is also possible to receive compensation for expenses for the training days from the unemployment benefit payer, which is the unemployment fund or Kela.
If you do not receive compensation for expenses from the unemployment fund or Kela, you can apply for discretionary compensation for expenses from the Helsinki Employment Services.
