Apply and learn more on the city website: Applying to bilingual education: Grades 1–9, Supplementary Admission 1 May-26 July 2026.
You can apply in the supplementary application round for Grades 1 and 7 only if you have moved to Helsinki after January 2026. For other grades (2 to 6 and 8 to 9), anyone can apply.
Once you have submitted the electronic Wilma-application form, you will receive a confirmation email. Please note that we will not send you a separate invitation to the language test.

We have free places to bilingual Finnish-English education as follows:
Language tests on Tuesday 4 August at the school
For Grades 2 to 9 an applicant must always take a language test. For Grade 1 there is no language test as the places will be drawn by lottery.

We will send the information about the admission decisions by secure email by 10 August 2026.
