Both outpatient clinics will begin to share a single phone number for booking appointments, +358 9 310 47692. This number has already already been in use at the Laakso unit. If a client calls the old numbers of the Malmi Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic, the call will be automatically forwarded to the correct number for a while.
During the call, the caller is asked to select the correct service and service point from the menu options. The telephone service includes a call-back service. Staff will attempt to call the client back up to three times.
The system change will also allow for the Laakso and Malmi units to provide the same telephone service hours.
The services of the internal medicine outpatient clinics require a referral.
“This change will make it easier and simpler for clients to contact and access the services of the internal medicine outpatient clinics. We will be better able to reach all of our clients,” says Timo Lukkarinen, Medical Director of Health Stations at the City of Helsinki.
