The video series explores the history of Helsinki City Council and the city itself

The video series Kaupunginvaltuusto 150 vuotta (City Council 150 years) tells of the history of the City Council, and, by extension, the history of Helsinki. The series covers Leo Mechelin, the very first Chair of the City Council, decision-making during exceptional times, and several other subjects. The first part of the video series will be published in January 2025.

The municipal elections will be held in spring 2025. Election day is on Sunday 13 April 2025 from 9 am. to 8 pm. The advance voting period is from 2 to 8 April 2025 in Finland.
