Permit and card training

Helsinki Employment Services organise permit and card training to help employees and jobseekers obtain the permits and certificates necessary for staying employed or finding employment.

Helsinki Employment Services organise various types of permit and card training to help jobseekers obtain the permits and certificates needed in the world of work. These include training for the occupational safety card, hot work card, first aid card and Hygiene Passport. The training is often free of charge for jobseekers in Helsinki and can take from a few hours to a few days.

Permits and cards are professional competence tests, many of which are statutory and required for certain professions. In most cases, you will first attend a training course, at the end of which you take the actual test for the permit or card. The tests are usually subject to a fee, unless they are included in a vocational qualification.

Some professions and duties require the completion of certain professional qualifications and permits, which are mentioned in national qualification requirements. You can find out more about these professional qualifications on the Finnish National Agency for Education's website (in Finnish)(Link leads to external service).
