How does the service start?
We will carry out an initial assessment with you, which will include an independently filled preliminary information form and a discussion with your coach about your suitability for work in these fields.
- Together, we will take stock of your skills, goals and, if necessary, your language skills.
- After the initial assessment, it will be decided whether you will continue to the service.
If you do not continue to the service:
- You will receive feedback and a follow-up plan.
- The information will also be submitted to your assigned specialist.
What is included in the service?
The service is designed according to your needs. The total duration of the service, starting with the registration for the mapping or the initial information, shall not exceed six months.
In employment agreements created through the service, the minimum working time is 18 hours per week. The objective is to find full-time employment. You will receive the services you need to be employed. Below are some examples of what the service may include:
- We will chart your professional competence and opportunities for acquiring additional skills.
- We will help you showcase your skills and strengths and get your CV in shape. We can practise job interviews together.
- You will have the opportunity to complete a missing competence passport (e.g. hygiene or alcohol passport).
- We will examine the situation in your sector: what kinds of employers and roles are available with your skills.
- We are very familiar with these sectors. We have extensive employer networks.
- We will help you find hidden jobs tailored to you.
- The service is designed for people of all ages looking for jobs in the commerce, tourism or catering sector.
- You may have previous work experience and an educational background in these sectors. You may also be new to the sector and have no training.
- You are an unemployed jobseeker client of the Helsinki Employment Services or you have a zero-hours contract and do gig work.
- You have been unemployed for no more than three years.
- Your work ability allows you to work in the sector.
- You are able to use the service in Finnish, Swedish or English.
