Helsinki Day Event registration is now open

Helsinki Day will be celebrated again on 12 June. Event registration is now open, and we are looking for programme to mark the city’s birthday over the weekend.
Helsinki-päivän viettoa

Free events will take over the city and its districts on Helsinki Day, 12 June. Helsinki Day, which has been celebrated since 1959, has become a shared city festival that offers plenty of events and activities for all residents.

The Helsinki Day programme is coordinated by the Helsinki Events Foundation, but the real content of the programme is created by various associations, clubs and organisations as well as private individuals and departments of the City of Helsinki. This means that the day’s programme is different each year: a versatile and surprising collection of events.

Programme  from Saturday to Sunday

This year, the Helsinki Day programme will be spread over the weekend from Saturday to Sunday, 11–12 June. Free events across the city, around the clock, are encouraged to join in the Helsinki Day programme. The Helsinki Day weekend will offer an excellent opportunity to organise events that benefit from the bright summer nights, and we hope to hear new ideas for night-time event content.

You can register your event for the Helsinki Day programme using the online form(Link leads to external service) and by logging in to the website by 22 May. You can also use the form to apply for a production grant for your event. The deadline for applications for production grants is 15 April. You can find more detailed information in the event organiser’s guide.
