Early childhood education, basic education and upper secondary education to continue normally after labour strike

Operations in the Education Division will continue normally after the labour strike.

The labour strike of the employee organisations JUKO, Jyty and JHL ends on Monday 9 May 2022.

As of 10 May 2022, operations will continue normally in all our service areas listed below, and in municipal basic education and upper secondary education provided by the city according to normal schedule.

  • Early childhood education services (daycare centres, family group daycare and playgrounds)
  • Basic education (comprehensive schools)
  • Upper secondary education (general upper secondary schools and vocational education and training)
  • The Finnish Adult Education Centre
  • Swedish Adult Education Centre Arbis
