EdTech Incubator Helsinki is the first business incubator program in Finland focused on supporting young education technology growth companies. The companies selected for the program will grow their ideas into marketable, scalable and international business concepts with the help of City of Helsinki experts and professionals in the field of education. The free incubator program lasts 18 weeks.

EdTech Incubator Helsinki’s first incubator program will culminate in a gala event to be held on 31 March, where the incubator’s nine early-stage education technology teams will present to the public the solutions they have promoted during the incubator program.

At the gala event, EdTech start-ups will present their innovations to investors, decision-makers and EdTech influencers for the first time. The gala’s keynote speech will be delivered by Jesper Ryynänen, co-founder and COO of GraphoGame, the winner of the Global EdTech Startup Awards.

EdTech Incubator Helsinki helps participating companies take the next step

EdTech Incubator Helsinki has helped start-up companies refine their business ideas. Becky Luoma, the founder of Language Clubhouse, believes that with the help of the incubator program, their company is now ready to take the next step towards bigger investments and new markets. This has been achieved, for example, through the financial management and pedagogical impact events organised by Helsinki Education Hub.

“Our goal is to have a clear strategy for the future after we have finished the program. We want to continue to grow our company. The gala will be an excellent opportunity for our company and we hope to gain valuable feedback and opinions from investors and influencers,” says Luoma with enthusiasm.

The application process for the EdTech Incubator Helsinki program is open twice a year. The City of Helsinki aims to have 50 young education technology growth companies complete the incubator program by the end of 2023.
