“I am happy that these new symptom assessments are being added to Omaolo. This is the type of content that Omaolo users have been expecting. Now, our customers can reliably assess a larger range of their symptoms,” says Marja-Liisa Lommi, Director of Medical Services at Helsinki’s Digital Health Station.
“In the future, accurate preliminary information about the customer's situation regarding these symptoms will be relayed to professionals as well, which will allow them to plan and implement treatment more efficiently,” Lommi continues.
DigiFinland Oy, which produces Omaolo, implemented the changes to Omaolo on January 2025.
Omaolo is a 24/7 online service in Helsinki for customers to independently and reliably assess their own need for care. The service provides care instructions and, if necessary, contact a health station professional.
