A strike by VR’s train drivers will halt commuter train services on Thursday and Friday. The drivers will not come to work on Thursday and Friday. Services will resume on Saturday 20 March.

HSL will not arrange replacement services. You can search for alternative routes using the Journey Planner; untick the train option in the planner’s settings. HSL’s customer service on +358 9 4766 4000 will open an hour earlier than usual on Thursday 18 March,  i.e. at 6.30am.

Because there is a risk that buses become overcrowded, we ask people to avoid using public transport if possible. In this way we can ensure as safe and smooth journeys as possible for those who need to travel. We want to ensure the health security of passengers on public transport in the exceptional circumstances.
