The eyes of the international football community will be on Helsinki next autumn, with the winner of the UEFA Super Cup decided at the Olympic Stadium on 10 August. The match will be between the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League winners. It is the first final of a European club football competition to be played in Finland. You can now apply to volunteer at the event.

Become a UEFA Super Cup volunteer

The UEFA Super Cup volunteers programme was launched on 21 March, providing a unique opportunity to participate in a football event the like of which has never been staged in Finland before. The Football Association of Finland is looking for 400 volunteers to assist in organising the UEFA Super Cup clash. There is a wide range of volunteering opportunities two weeks before kick-off and on the match day in various vital roles, ensuring a successful event. Volunteers are wanted for varying roles ranging from customer service, accreditation, logistics and transport to media operations, for example. It is a great opportunity to learn new skills, gain valuable work experience, make new friends and see a major event from a new perspective.

“The applicants don’t need to be involved in football; we welcome everyone. Ideally, we would like to have as diverse a volunteer team as possible, something we will also consider in the selection process. The application programme is open to everyone available for the period from the beginning of August to the match day, depending on the role,” says Silja
Ranta, Volunteer Manager at the Football Association of Finland.

“We monitor and analyse applications as they come in, so please feel free to apply right away! I expect a large number of applications, as there have been enquiries even before the publication of the programme,” says Ranta.

Anyone over the age of 18 with sufficient role-specific English language skills can apply. You can explore the roles and fill in the application via this link(Link leads to external service).
