Helsinki Metropolitan Area libraries
The libraries in the Helsinki Metropolitan area are hubs of information and stories open to all, where you can borrow books, magazines, films, music material, sports equipment and e-resources. You can enjoy them free-of-charge either in the comfortable library premises or by borrowing material and taking it home. The libraries also have customer computers and premises that can be reserved for an event or function.
You can get a library card at any Helmet library. The Helmet library card is a joint card for the city libraries of Espoo, Helsinki, Kauniainen and Vantaa. You can borrow, reserve and return materials from the collections of libraries of all these cities as well as your own local library.
