Adult Education Centre offering
The Finnish Adult Education Centre of the City of Helsinki offers a variety of courses for seniors. You can study e.g. music, navigation, arts and crafts, information technology and dance. The Adult Education Centre organises teaching in close to 70 locations throughout the city.
The Adult Education Centre also organises hundreds of free lectures, concerts, exhibitions and events every year. The fees for courses intended for seniors include a senior discount. Persons receiving national or guarantee pension paid by Kela may get a 50 per cent discount on the course fee.

Registration in the Ilmonet service requires signing up as a service user. You can sign up for the service with your online banking credentials. If you do not have online banking credentials, you can sign up at the Adult Education Centre service point. After identifying, you will get a username and password, which you can use to log in to the service in the future without the online banking credentials.
In the Ilmonet(Link leads to external service) service, you can search for courses by subject field, teaching location or search term. You can see up-to-date information on courses as well as the number of vacancies on courses.
Swedish-language Adult Education Centre Arbis
Arbis offers language courses of various levels, arts, information technology, cooking, exercises and textile crafts. Arbis also offers open university courses.
