Changes to tram routes 6, 7 and 9

The timetables for all tram routes will change due to the above changes. The new routes and timetables will be available in the Journey Planner from 8 March.

There will be changes to tram services on 6 April when the new Telakkakatu section of tramway opens. Tram route 6 will be extended to Eiranranta. The tram will no longer serve Hietalahti and route 6T will be withdrawn. Track work will be carried out around the West Terminal and tram route 7 will be diverted via Bulevardi to Hietalahti for four weeks. Replacement bus 7X will serve the West Terminal until 2 May. 

Tram 6 will be rerouted

Tram route 6 will be extended from Hietalahdentori via Telakkakatu to Eiranranta from Tuesday 6 April. Tram route 6T to the West Terminal will be withdrawn. The last day of operation will be 5 April.

Tram route 7 diverted to Hietalahti from 6 April to 2 May

Track and roadwork will be carried out around the West Terminal in preparation for the opening of the new section of tramway along Atlantinkatu and the Atlantinsilta Bridge on 3 May.

Replacement bus 7X

Replacement bus 7X (Hietalahti – Ruoholahti (M) – West Terminal) will serve the West Terminal from 6 April to 2 May. The bus links with tram 7, the metro and trams 8 and 9. Passengers can board the replacement bus using the middle doors. If you have a valid ticket, you do not need to show it to the driver/card reader.

All tram timetables will change on 6 April

The timetables for all tram routes will change due to the above changes.
The new timetables are available in the Journey Planner as well as in the printable timetables(Link leads to external service).

Changes from 3 May

Tram route 9 will be extended from Saukonpaasi via Atlantinkatu and the new Atlantinsilta Bridge to the West Terminal from Monday 3 May. Tram 7 will resume its normal route and the replacement bus 7X will stop running. Link(Link leads to external service) to the release published on 24 February.
