The Union of Health and Social Care Professionals in Finland – Tehy and The Finnish Union of Practical Nurses – SuPer have issued a strike warning concerning the City of Helsinki Social Services and Health Care Division’s southern home care unit from 6 to 9 September 2022.  However, the start of the strike may still be postponed for two weeks.

Helsinki’s southern home care operates in Lauttasaari, Töölö, Viiskulma and Vironniemi. If a strike were to take place, it would affect almost the whole of the southern home care district.

In case of a strike, the city will provide essential and urgent home care services. The city will separately contact customers whose services may be affected by the strike
