Join us at the residents’ evenings in Myllypuro, Kamppi and Itäkeskus to learn about local health and social services – Everyone is welcome!

Three residents’ evenings will be held this May in Myllypuro, Kamppi and Itäkeskus. These events are open to everyone and offer a great opportunity to learn more about local health and social services.

Myllypuro Health and Well-being Centre residents’ evening: 7 May

The Myllypuro event will take place on Wednesday 7 May 2025 from 17.00–18.30 at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Myllypurosali, located at Myllypurontie 1. Remote participation will also be available(Link leads to external service) .

Topics of the evening include:

  • Start of the extension construction project
  • Introduction of the new Diabetes Centre
  • Current matters of the client panel
  • Introduction of the Hymykylä project by Metropolia students

The Myllypuro Health and Well-being Centre serves clients in areas including Itäkeskus, Karhusaari, Kivikko, Kontula, Kurkimäki, Marjaniemi, Mellunmäki, Myllypuro, Puotila, Puotinharju, Roihupelto, Salmenkallio, Talosaari, Ultuna, Vartioharju, Vesala and Östersundom.

Kamppi Health and Well-being Centre residents' evening: 15 May

The Kamppi event will be held on Thursday 15 May 2025 from 17.00–18.30 in the main hall of the Kamppi Service Centre, located at Salomonkatu 21.

The event will cover:

  • Status and schedule of the construction project
  • Other current developments

The Kamppi Health and Well-being Centre is set to open in 2028 next to Sähkötalo, at Kampinkuja 1 and Salomonkatu 8a. The new centre will bring together services currently offered at the Kivelä and Viiskulma health stations.

Info session for the Itäkeskus Family Centre: 27 May

The info session will take place on Tuesday 27 May 2025 from 18.00–19.00 as an online event via Microsoft Teams(Link leads to external service) .

Topics will include

  • Background of the Itäkeskus Family Centre project
  • Location, schedule and services moving to the new Family Centre
  • Phases of construction and renovation
  • Client involvement in the Family Centre

The Itäkatu Family Centre will move to new premises when the new Itäkeskus Family Centre opens at the beginning of 2027 at Turunlinnantie 12. There will be no disruption to services.

The Family Centre will serve residents in eastern Helsinki, including Marjaniemi, Itäkeskus, Vartiokylä, Puotila, Mellunkylä and Kontula.

These events are organised by the City of Helsinki’s Social Services, Health Care and Rescue Services Division.

The events will be held in Finnish. You are welcome to ask questions in Swedish or English.
