At the Design Museum’s Garden Futures exhibition, you can listen to stories that nature tells us about the future, as performed by musicians Eva Väljaots and Robbie Sherratt. At HAM, Haegue Yang’s sculptural ensemble Handles comes to life four times during the evening. Artworks, which are covered with bells, are moved around in the exhibition hall accompanied by composer Isang Yun’s music. At Villa Hakasalmi, dancers and choreographers Tiia Hämäläinen and Jaakko Simola with sound artist Marika Hyvärinen transform Volker von Bonin’s nostalgic photographs of Helsinki into movement and sound. The Helsinki City Museum invites visitors to experience what happens to gym training exercises when the Race Horse Company and creativity take over. Kunsthalle Helsinki celebrates the colourfulness, playfulness and abundance of Kaija Aarikka’s art with the hot embrace of the Latin rhythms of Eduardo and His Brazilian Aeroplane. The K1 gallery of the Finnish Museum of Photography, in turn, takes people into the world of photographer Pentti Sammallahti’s Us Two exhibition, stopping at poems recited by actors Elsa Saisio and Nelly Kärkkäinen.
