The cabins in Kaunissaari will become available for booking at the Varaamo service on Tuesday, 2 April 2024 at 10.00. Booking for the conference villas and saunas in Pihlajasaari will begin on Wednesday, 3 April 2024 at 10.00.
Cabins and wooden tents in Kaunissaari
An island in the Sipoo archipelago, Kaunissaari is suitable for hiking, camping and fishing. The island has rocky and pebble beaches and magnificent sand beaches. You can reach Kaunissaari by ferry or your own boat. The island has cooking shelters and a restaurant and, in the summer, visitors are served by a shop boat.
Seven cabins and three wooden tents in Kaunissaari can be booked through Varaamo. You can make a booking starting from 2 April 2024 at 10.00. The cabins and wooden tents are available for bookings from 27 May and 1 September 2024. The booking period of the cabins is one week, from Monday to Sunday. The booking time for tent starts at 12.00 and ends the next day at 10.00. You only need to select the start date from the booking calendar.

Villas and saunas in Pihlajasaari
Pihlajasaari is an island located in front of Hernesaari, about 10 minutes by sea. There is a water transport connection to the island from Merisatama and Ruoholahti. The island’s nature consists of rocks, wooded areas, groves and rocky and sandy beaches. The diverse nature, good location and functional services have made Pihlajasaari a popular summer island in Helsinki.
Two conference villas and two saunas are available for booking in Pihlajasaari. You can make a booking starting from 3 April 2024 at 10.00. Suitable for small parties and meetings, the villas can be booked for daytime use from 10.00 to 21.00 (from 27 May to 1 September 2024). Sauna bookings can be made from Tuesday to Sunday (from 1 June to 1 September 2024).

The Varaamo service has been completely renewed. The new Varaamo can for now be found at tilavaraus.hel.fi/en. The familiar address varaamo.hel.fi will be used once the transfer to the new booking system has been completed.
Logging in to the Varaamo service has changed. In the new Varaamo, you will log in using strong identification, such as online banking credentials. When logging in, you will create a Helsinki profile if you do not have one already. We recommend that you log in to the Varaamo service in advance and create a Helsinki profile. In this way, the booking process will be smoother.
The cabins and saunas are in high demand. Large numbers of visitors may temporarily congest the booking service. We apologise in advance for any problems with making the booking.
