The right of pre-emption granted the previous season will remain in force, meaning that you will be able to renew your reservation in advance, before the reservation period open to all. This applies to both berths and winter storage square spaces. Those renewing their reservation will also be able to change their reserved space during a separate change period. Helsinki residents will also have their right of pre-emption before non-residents.
In the future, reserving and paying for berths and winter storage spaces and additional services will be done by logging in to a private customer profile in the reservation system through Suomi.fi authentication. We will provide more detailed information about creating a customer profile and the reservation process later.
The overhaul will expedite and clarify the reservation process
The system overhaul will facilitate a faster and clearer reservation process for customers. The customer can browse unoccupied spaces in the system and reserve one immediately without any delays or uncertainty caused by the processing of applications.
The customer profile and strong authentication will make it easy to update your own information, examine your reservation information and make secure payments directly in the City of Helsinki Financial Management Services’ online store.
Schedule of the overhaul
Winter storage square and hoisting order area spaces will be available for reservation via the new system in August 2025. Berths for the 2026 sailing season will be available for reservation in the spring of 2026. We will provide more detailed information about the reservation period dates later.
