From Wednesday 8 September, both the first and second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be available without an appointment at Helsinki's vaccination points in Jätkäsaari, Malmi, Messukeskus and Myllypuro.

Pop-up vaccination points will also provide both doses of the vaccine without an appointment. The second dose of the vaccine will be available at pop-up points on a first come, first served basis.

There are a number of pop-up points all around Helsinki, including the Kamppi, Tripla and Hertsi shopping centres. Information on pop-up vaccination points can be found on the constantly updated Pop-up vaccination

“We hope that this would ensure that as many as possible get the second dose, and at the right time. We advise Helsinki residents to get the second dose of the vaccine at the vaccination points in Jätkäsaari, Malmi, Messukeskus and Myllypuro,” says Medical Director of Health Stations Timo
Lukkarinen.

You can get the second vaccine dose 6 weeks after the first dose, the earliest.

“Now that the second dose of the vaccine is available only 6 weeks after the first vaccination and without an appointment, it is possible to achieve the wanted 80% vaccination coverage already in September. The second dose of the vaccine is important, as it increases the protection against serious COVID-19 to a very good level,” Lukkarinen continues.

The vaccine can be obtained by showing an ID or Kela card. Vaccinated persons should remain at the location for at least 15 minutes after the vaccination so that the staff can monitor their condition. COVID-19 vaccinations are free of charge.
