It is possible for Helsinki residents to receive their first dose of COVID-19 vaccination without making an appointment at pop-up vaccination points. Pop-up points do not yet offer booster vaccines.
There are a number of Pop-up points all around Helsinki. For example, next Friday, 27 August, from 11:00-15:00, you can get the COVID-19 vaccine from a pop-up point in the Ristikko shopping centre in Konala and on Saturday, 28 August, from 11:00-15:00, in the Tripla shopping centre in Pasila.
There are also pop-up points in libraries and Viikki’s Prisma, for example. Pop-up points will also established in different places in the future.
“By providing vaccinations in shopping centres, for example, we want to make vaccinations as easy and quick as possible. Vaccinations can now be obtained when on a shopping trip”, says Medical Director of Health Stations Timo Lukkarinen
“Currently, there is still a need to increase the vaccination coverage to control the coronavirus epidemic. Of all the Helsinki residents, 73 per cent have now received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination, with the number at 82 per cent of those over 12 years of age. Now that the vaccine is available from many different places around Helsinki, we hope that even more Helsinki residents will take it. Currently it is only possible to get the first dose at the pop-up spots, but in the future the plan is to offer even booster vaccines”, Timo continues.
The vaccine can be obtained at a pop-up point by showing an ID or Kela card. Prepare to remain at the location for at least 15 minutes after the vaccination so that the staff can monitor your condition. COVID-19 vaccinations are free of charge.
The COVID-19 vaccinations can also be obtained without an appointment at Helsinki's vaccination points in Jätkäsaari, Malmi, Messukeskus and Myllypuro.
