Pick-up and drop-off traffic to Oulunkylä Primary School and Daycare Kulkuri will improve during the summer with the widening of Teinintie, which will make the street easier to drive through. The project will also include the construction of a long-awaited pavement on Kinkeripolku and Teinintie.

The work is set to take place during the schools’ summer break.

Trees to be felled in the area

At the end of March, just over 10 trees will be felled around the eastern part of Teinintie and along Kinkeripolku to make room for the necessary traffic arrangements. These trees are aspen, birch and pine trees, some of which will have to be felled due to their deteriorated condition.

The contractor is Helsinki City Construction Services, Stara.
