
Playground Ida is located in the Pohjois-Haaga district along excellent transport connections.
The playground is a place where families with babies and children can play, exercise and meet each other around the year either indoors or outdoors. In addition to sandboxes, swings and various climbing frames, playground features:
- Basketball hoop
- Playing field with football goals on a sand bed
- Floorball goals and equipment
- Artificial turf field with football goals
- Waterplay area with showers, pumps etc. (in summer)
- Baby changing table
- Large sandbox
Families with babies and children can meet other families at playgrounds, while children can find new friends to play with. Diverse and free-of-charge guided activities are organised at playgrounds in the mornings.
You can heat your own food and make coffee and tea at the playground. Our activities are free of charge and based on Helsinki's curriculum for early childhood education and care.

Location
The route to the playground area
- There are no accessible parking spaces near the playground. The nearest parking area is within 20 metres.
- The pick-up and drop-off area is located under 5 m from the playground gate.
- A smooth and sufficiently wide asphalted route leads to the playground gate. The route is illuminated.

Playground area
- The playground is surrounded by a metal fence. Inside the fence there are fine-crushed rock or sand-surfaced walkways. The entire play area is illuminated.
- The playground has an information board difficult to perceive that can be accessed by a wheelchair. The information board can also be looked at up close.
- The playground has tables and benches with free space at the end for a wheelchair or stroller.
- The playground has swings, a slide, a sandbox, a climbing frame.
- The swings: The swings are situated at the edge of the area. There is a bench for an adult near the swings. A wet pour rubber safety surface has been installed under the swings. The play area also has a safety swing for a small child, a saucer swing, a swing bed.
- The slide: There is space for a wheelchair around the slide and a bench for an adult nearby. A wet pour rubber safety surface has been installed under the slide. The slide can be accessed via the stairs, a net.
- The sandbox: The edge of the sandbox is too low for wheelchair access. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
- The climbing frame: A wet pour rubber safety surface has been installed under the climbing frame. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
Playground building
- The entrance of the playground building stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
- In connection with the entrance, there are at least 4 steps, with handrails on left side when going up.
- The entrance has a ramp over 6 m long with an intermediate landing, with handrails on right side when going up.
- The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly and the glass doors have contrast markings. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door is heavy or otherwise hard to open.
- The activities take place on the entrance floor.
- The doors in the facility stand out clearly. The glass doors have contrast markings.
- The facility has an accessible toilet.
