Playground Mustakivi is an urban playground with a versatile yard in the Vuosaari district surrounded by the sea and nature reserves.
The playground is a place where families with babies and children can play, exercise and meet each other around the year either indoors or outdoors. In addition to sandboxes, swings and various climbing frames, playground features:
- Separate fenced yard for small children
- Paddling pool (in summer)
- Artificial turf field with football goals
- Basketball hoop
- Baby changing table
Families with babies and children can meet other families at playgrounds, while children can find new friends to play with. Diverse and free-of-charge guided activities are organised at playgrounds in the mornings.
You can heat your own food and make coffee and tea at the playground. Our activities are free of charge and based on Helsinki's curriculum for early childhood education and care.

The route to the playground area
- There are no accessible parking spaces near the playground. The nearest parking area is located over 50 m from the place.
- The pick-up and drop-off area is located under 10 m from the playground.
- A smooth and sufficiently wide tiled route leads to the playground. The route is illuminated.

Playground area
- The playground is surrounded by a metal fence. Inside the fence there are tiled walkways. The entire play area is illuminated.
- The playground has an information board difficult to perceive.
- The playground has tables and benches with free space at the end for a wheelchair or stroller.
- The playground has swings, a slide, a sandbox, a canopy, a climbing frame, a climbing wall, a ball wall, a wading pool.
- The swings: The swings are situated at the edge of the area. There is a bench for an adult near the swings. Safety sand has been installed under the swings. The play area also has a safety swing for a small child, a saucer swing, spring riders.
- The slide: There is space for a wheelchair around the slide and a bench for an adult nearby. Safety sand has been installed under the slide. The slide can be accessed via the stairs, a net. The play area also has a wider slide that an adult and child can slide down together.
- The sandbox: The edge of the sandbox is too low for wheelchair access. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
- The canopy: The entrance to the canopy is not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There are no tables or benches under the canopy.
- The climbing frame: Safety sand has been installed under the climbing frame. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
- The climbing wall: Safety sand has been installed under the climbing wall. Part of the climbing wall is at an angle so people can also climb in a traverse direction.
- The ball wall: The surface in front of the wall is compacted sand. There is a bench for an adult nearby.
- The raised edge of the wading pool makes it wheelchair accessible. The bottom of the wading pool is smooth. There is a bench for an adult nearby.

- Leikkialueella on kolmea erilaista turva-alustaa: turvahiekka, valettu turva-alusta sekä tekonurmi. Leikkivälineitä on vaihtelevasti erilaisilla alustoilla. Leveät liukumäet ovat turvahiekalla.
