Assistive device services to introduce a new system – changes to spring opening hours

At the end of March, the City of Helsinki’s assistive device services will introduce a new information system, which will improve the service provision.

At the end of March, the City of Helsinki’s assistive device services will introduce a new information system, which will improve the service provision.

The assistive device services staff will be trained to use the new system during approximately three weeks from 28 February to 18 March 2022. The training of the staff will have an impact on the opening hours of the assistive device services.

During the training from 28 February to 18 March 2022, the assistive device services office in Konala (Ruosilantie 18) and telephone service (09 310 47589) will have exceptional opening hours. After the introduction of the new system, on Monday, 21 March, the assistive device services will return to normal opening hours.

Exceptional opening hours in February and March (28 February–18 March)

  • Mon 8:00–16:00
  •  Tue–Thu 10:00–16:00
  • Fri 10:00–14:00

Opening hours from 21 March:

  • Mon–Tue 8:00–16:00
  • Wed–Thu 9:00–17:00
  • Fri 10:00–14:00

Assistive device services are intended for adult (over 16 years old) Helsinki
residents with reduced functional capacity. Assistive devices are always loaned
for personal use. Most of the assistive devices available for loan are used,
properly cleaned and maintained. Assistive device services are free of charge
to clients.
